Singular and Plural Noun Exercise
When we change a singular noun to a plural noun, we have to add -s, -es and -ies. Here are 3 basic rules to change a regular singular to a plural noun. នៅពេលដែលយើងប្តូរនាមឯកវចន ទៅជានាមពហុវចន យើងត្រូវថែម -s, -es & -ies ខាងក្រោមនេះជា ច្បាប់៣នៃការប្តូរ។
Rule 1 : add -es to a noun that ends in -s,-ss,-sh,-ch,-x,-o,-zz. យើងថែម-es នៅពេលដែលនាមឯកវចនបញ្ចប់ដោយអក្សទាំងនេះ -s,-ss,-sh,-ch,-x,-o,-zz ។
Rule 2 : Change y -ies to a noun that ends in consonant + y. នៅពេលដែលនាមឯកវចនៈបញ្ចប់ ព្យញ្ជានៈ និង y ប្តួរ y ទៅជា -ies ។
Rule 3 : When a noun ends in -f or -fe, change it to -ves. ពេលនាមឯកវចនៈ បញ្ចប់ដោយ – f or -fe ប្តូរវាទៅជា -ves ។
Rule 4 : When a singular noun doesn’t follow rule 1, 2 and 3, change add -s. នៅពេលដែលនាមឯកវចនៈ មិនគោរពតាម ច្បាប់ទី ១, ២ និង ទី៣ យើងគ្រាន់តែថែម -s ប៉ុណ្ណោះ។
